1. Who we are

2. The service

JobScalr helps you find and apply for jobs: it surfaces job postings, scores how well your profile matches a posting, and uses AI to help you tailor your CV, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews. Some features are free; AI-powered features require a paid subscription.

3. Your account

The app creates a device-bound anonymous account when you first use it. You can optionally add an email address and password later to secure access across devices. You are responsible for keeping your device and credentials secure. One account per person; you must be at least 16 years old to use JobScalr.

5. AI-generated content — your responsibility

JobScalr uses AI to analyze postings and generate documents. AI output can contain mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing every document before you send it, and for the truthfulness of any application you submit. JobScalr is designed never to invent qualifications you don't have — but the final check is yours.

No employment guarantee: JobScalr improves how prepared your applications are. It does not and cannot guarantee interviews, job offers, or employment — those depend on employers and the job market.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no automated scraping of our API, no attempts to circumvent the subscription, no uploading content that is unlawful or that you have no right to use, and no use of generated documents to misrepresent your identity or qualifications.

7. Your content

You keep all rights to your CV and the documents you create. You grant us the limited license needed to store and process that content to provide the service (see the Privacy Policy for how it is protected).

8. Job postings

Job postings shown in JobScalr come from third-party sources. We don't control their content, accuracy, or availability, and a posting appearing in the app is not an endorsement of the employer.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

10. Termination

You can stop using JobScalr and delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Privacy & data). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Statutory termination rights remain unaffected.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will inform you in the app before they take effect. The current version is always available at this URL.

12. Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
